For a while now Fareed Zakaria on his program, GPS, has been advocating the creation of an “Infrastructure Bank” intended to encourage and fund much needed work on America’s infrastructure which is, at minimum becoming a lacey ghost of its former self as city streets develop “potholes”, bridges rust and otherwise crumble (as do levee’s), and highways and runways crack, crumble and heave.
